Vertu introduced Constellation, a new luxury smartphone
Vertu, a phone brand that was established by Nokia back in 1998, unveiled a new version of the model Constellation. They brought this phone much closer to the stars by tuning the hardware specification. Vertu Constellation comes with a 5.5 inch 2K screen that is protected by a sapphire glass, more durable than classic Gorilla glass found on other smartphones. They even used the Snapdragon 820 processor, which is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, that can be extended by microSD cards up to 128 GB. The device has a fingerprint scanner, USB-C connector, is dual-SIM capable, and has a 3,220 mAh battery, which is quite nice. Vertu Constellation uses a 12 MP rear camera, which has the same pixel size (1.55um) as the latest Google Pixel phone, so the photo quality should be great. The OS is Android 6.0. Marshmallow.
Special about this phone are not its specification, but the way it is built, Materials, and exclusive Vertu services. The price will heavily depend on the choice of materials – so in thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars.
About Vertu
In October 2012 Nokia sold Vertu to private equity group EQT VI for $200 million but retained a 10% share. By the end of 2013, the company had around 350,000 customers, and phones were on sale in 500 retail outlets, including 70 run by the company. In 2015, it was announced that EQT had sold its share of Vertu to Godin Holdings, a Hong Kong-based holding company.
