Nokia TA-1396 smartphone to launch in India, reveals BIS certification

Nokia C01 Plus

While Nokia Mobile will begin the pre-orders for the Nokia G20 in India today, the company is also pepping up to introduce at least six more phones in the country. One of them is the smartphone with the model number TA-1396 that picked the BIS certification yesterday. Wingtech Mobile Communications has got the responsibility to produce the device in its Chittoor factory in Andhra Pradesh.

Nokia TA-1396 is already Wi-Fi certified and supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Interestingly, it appeared on the Wi-Fi Alliance site alongside the variants of the Nokia C01 Plus. Even though the model number is not present in the user guide available on Nokia Mobile’s site, there are chances that it belongs to Nokia C01 Plus.

In fact, as per the information received by LoveNokia, TA-1396 is indeed the Nokia C01 Plus and will be available with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage in India.

Nokia C01 Plus was announced globally about a month ago. The smartphone comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ screen and a removable 3000 mAh battery. It features a setup of a 5 MP camera and a LED flash at the front as well as at the back. Powered by Unisoc’s SC9863A platform (a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor), the device runs on Android 11 Go and will get two years of quarterly security patches.

Nokia C01 Plus with 2 GB of RAM costs 1,890,000 ₫ (₹6130) in Vietnam. So, we can expect its price to be similar in India and not more than ₹6999 since that is the cost of the 2/16 GB model of the Nokia C3 in the country.

With that, the Nokia phones that India will see in the upcoming weeks are the Nokia X20, Nokia X10, Nokia G10, Nokia C01 Plus, Nokia TA-1366 smartphone, Nokia 110 4G, and possibly Nokia C20.
