Nokia scores a five-year deal from Central China Holdings Co. Ltd

After signing a big networking deal worth US$1 billion with Bharti Airtel, Nokia has another multi-year deal under its belt, but this deal falls under the development of smart real estate infrastructure. Via press release, Nokia announced that it has entered into a five-year networking infrastructure and big data analytics agreement with leading Chinese real estate group, Central China Holdings Co., Ltd.

This deal will see Nokia providing its leading solutions like POL (Passive Optical LAN), home Wi-Fi, big data platform, and 5G to Central China Holdings Co. Ltd, the Henan-based property developer. Nokia will help them lay the foundation for smarter residential and enhanced businesses in Henan province, China. Nokia’s solutions will be used in the development of new Zhengzhou and Shangqiu projects.

Also, Nokia highlights the need for an overhaul of the smart community digital infrastructure because, since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, home connectivity has become a basic assistance empowering remote working, distance learning, healthcare news updates, and entertainment.
