August Security update out for #Nokia 3 (8/2017)

HMD pushed a new OTA (over the air) update featuring Google’s August security patch and some improvements for the Nokia 3. The update brings specific Nokia 3 improvements like optimizations and improvements in stability, and in the UI. The OTA package is a little less than 100MB in size.

For those hoping this to be the Android 7.1.1 update for Nokia 3, it is unfortunately not. But, Android 7.1.1 is expected to hit the 3 by the end of this month.

Now, the complete lineup of Nokia smartphones, the 3, 5 and 6 have the latest security patch. We won’t count Nokia 8 just yet in this squad, because it’s not available to purchase, but I noticed that the review units sent to the media do have the August update as well.

Well done HMD in keeping the whole lineup up to date.
