#HMD is working to bring the new #Nokia 3310 to the United States

As anyone who read the official press release already knows, upcoming Nokia device unfortunately won’t be available in North or South America at the launch. The reason for not launching the phone in the US is that the US carriers do not support the 900MHz band.

Patrick Mercanton, head of marketing at HMD, said for CNET: “It’s not that we’re not launching in the US. It takes a little longer to ramp up.” HMD is negotiating with the carriers to use the 850MHz and 1900MHz, but there are no conclusions to be shared at the moment.

HMD’s official press release said: “All products will be available in Q2, 2017 in APAC, India, Middle East, Africa and Europe.”
