Nokia Mobile hosting a launch event on April 8, to announce new phones?

Last year, Nokia Mobile made a transition from trade show launch events to virtual launch events for its phones because of the pandemic. The most recent launch event that the company streamed publicly was in September. Getting back to 2021, Nokia Mobile has announced its plans to host a launch event on April 8 (Thursday) at 3 P.M. (GMT).

The company has started sending out press invites almost a month in advance. The ‘Save the date’ teaser is also linked on Nokia Mobile’s international website, which hints that the launch event might be live-streamed for the public and possibly multiple Nokia phones will be announced. The last two launches by Nokia Mobile were the solo launch of the Nokia 1.4 in January and Nokia 5.4 in December.

The teaser introduces the hashtag #LoveTrustKeep and shows a man looking through the pine trees present in the backdrop. Not much can be figured out from the picture, but the individual could be someone with whom Nokia Mobile might collaborate this time to showcase something special about the upcoming Nokia phones.

Rumors have already started pouring about the devices that Nokia Mobile might announce in a month’s time. The Russian retailers unveiled the identity of a new Nokia smartphone that is coming with a rather unusual name, the Nokia G10. Soon after that, a piece of news started doing rounds about the alleged revamping of the naming scheme of Nokia smartphones.

Reportedly, Nokia Mobile will phase out the dots in its naming convention by the end of this year. The first output of this change is possibly the Nokia G10. The battery certifications by TÜV suggest that there are at least two new Nokia smartphones. Rumor also has it that the Nokia 3650 is the next that will be revived as part of the Nokia Originals series.

It will be interesting to see what all Nokia Mobile has planned for this launch event.
