No Time To Die delayed again

The upcoming James Bond movie No Time To Die, for which Nokia Mobile is the official phone partner, was delayed again. This time to April 2021, “in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience”. Movie production is expensive, so trying to get the best return on investment is a legit move and I personally understand it, though I am not a fan of this move.

The launch of Nokia phones in 2020 was tightly coupled with the movie, because Nokia Mobile planned a big marketing campaign with the Bond movie. With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the question is will April 2021 be suitable for worldwide theatrical audience and will the movie be delayed further. This also begs the question will upcoming Nokia phones follow the delay of the movie, to align marketing activities. Nokia Mobile is no stranger in delaying products, so it is a bit ironic that their marketing team picked the movie with the same tendencies.
