Nokia 5.3 available in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Austria

Nokia 5.3, the smartphone that is changing the definition of midrange class of Nokia smartphones, is now available in Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, and Austria. By the change, I mean that you are almost getting a device with the design and specs close to Nokia 7.2 but at an affordable price. Nokia 5.3 is designed beautifully, but the beauty of its design is most pronounced in cyan and sand color, not so much in black, which is the only available option in the before mentioned countries. The price is pretty much the same at all the markets, and it will set the buyers back €199 for the 4/64 GB model. In Belgium, you can buy the Nokia 5.3 at Tweakers for €198, while in the Netherlands you will be able to buy it at Cool Blue in all colors after they replenish their stock since it was sold out.

In Germany, Belgium, and Austria you can get Nokia 5.3 from Mediamarkt, which is selling it for €200. The device is sold only in black color, and it will be available from the 25th of May.

While the current price of €200 for the low-end entry phone is a nice price, I am a bit worried since Xiaomi is selling Redmi Note 8 Pro with much better specs for €225 here in Croatia. This could represent a problem for Nokia Mobile in Europe since Xiaomi together with Vivo and Oppo are aggressively making its space in the European smartphone market. While Nokia is bringing great design and build quality, people just want a similar thing for less money, and Xiaomi is delivering that efficiently.
