Nokia top 5 in smartphones in Russia, Romania, Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria
|At today’s event in Vienna HMD Global announced the new Nokia devices for the region of Eastern Europe, that includes 22 countries, geographically beyond Eastern Europe. Alberto Matrone, the Head of the CEE region at HMD Global announced today that in the region, HMD Global is the biggest feature phone vendor by value and volume. He also added that in smartphones, the Nokia brand managed to get into top 5 vendors in following countries: Russia, Romania, Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria.
Overall, HMD Global shipped 70 million devices in 2017, taking the No.1 spot in feature phones by value. Florian Seiche, HMD’s CEO said the company will double down in 2018 and will try to sell even more in 2018. With a promising lineup, this goal could be achieved.
