New Nokia models TA-1222 and TA-1226 might be heading to US
|Two new, or previously unseen Nokia models TA-1222, and TA-1226, passed the FCC certification process. The released documents revealed that those two phones will support GSM/LTE networks, as well as BT 5.0 and WiFi. According to FCC testing results, these two models won’t support 5G bands.
TA-1226 will be coming together with TA-1218 which differs from TA-1222 since those two are coming with FM radio receiver. Maybe this is more affordable smartphone for the US market.
The software of TA-1222 is marked as Paramore-Z26K00E01V010-user-Cricket, which could suggest this device is going to be exclusive for that operator.
We still don’t know the codes of Nokia 8.3 5G, but somehow this one doesn’t seem to be that phone according to the released diagram of antennas where the dimensions are revealed. This phone is a bit smaller and it won’t be supporting 5G. There is an interesting use of proximity sensors on this device. According to FCC, the device will use sensores to detect the user head or body usage scenarios and thus lover the power output of antennas.
