Nokia G10 and Nokia C01 Plus launched in India with Jio benefits

Nokia G10 and Nokia C01 PlusToday, Nokia Mobile launched the Nokia G10 and Nokia C01 Plus in India. The Nokia G10 is arriving after five months, and the Nokia C01 Plus after three months since its global debut. Nokia Mobile has partnered with Jio to offset the original costs of both phones with the price support offer and a bunch of other benefits. There is also a one-year replacement guarantee on the devices.

Nokia G10 is the most basic phone in the G-series, but it comes with a battery life of up to 3-days, the longest yet on a Nokia smartphone, thanks to its 5050 mAh battery. As part of the Android One program, the Android 11 powered Nokia G10 is supposed to get two Android OS upgrades and monthly security patches until July 2024. On the front, it features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen with V-notch and an 8 MP camera.

Inside, it houses the MediaTek Helio G25 platform with HyperEngine technology and processing power of up to 2 GHz. The triple camera setup at the back includes the 13 MP primary camera, a 2 MP macro shooter, and a 2 MP depth sensor. It supports Bluetooth 5 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The fingerprint sensor is embedded with the power button.

Nokia G10 with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage (expandable storage of up to 512 GB) comes in Night and Dusk colours. Its official cost is ₹12149, but you can get it for around ₹11150 if you opt for the Jio price support offer.

On the other hand, the Nokia C01 Plus is the most affordable 4G Nokia smartphone. Nokia Mobile claims that the device has passed heat and humidity testing and various durability and force testing like bending and twisting. The Nokia C01 Plus sports a 5.45-inch HD+ display and a removable 3000 mAh battery.

The rear and front camera setup are the same, i.e., a 5 MP shooter and a LED flash. Powered by the Unisoc SC9863A platform, it operates on the Android 11 Go edition and will get quarterly security updates for two years. The device supports face unlock, Bluetooth 4.2, and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

Nokia C01 Plus with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage (expandable storage of up to 128 GB) comes in Blue and Grey colours. Its official price is ₹5999, but it can cost you about ₹5399 using the Jio price support offer.

The additional benefits worth ₹4000 that the Jio customers will get with both phones include MakeMyTrip, Myntra, Oyo, and PharmEasy offers.

The price of the Nokia C01 Plus seems fine for what it offers, but the Nokia G10’s cost is nowhere near what I thought it would be. Even the Nokia G20 was available for a price lower than that of the G10 on multiple occasions.
