Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 5.1 Plus receiving December security update
I don’t know what went wrong with HMD updating all of its devices to Android 9 Pie, but security updates are pouring like a beer form a tap. Ok, maybe not for all the models. For example, my Nokia 3 (2017) is still feeling pretty secure with the August security patch, but things are great for 6, 7 Plus and others.
Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 5.1 Plus just received the Google security patch for December. The update for Nokia 6.1 is 78.5 MB large, and for Nokia 5.1 Plus has 65.5 MB, or in our case 59.4 MB. The update just brings the security improvements, nothing else.
If you are in the vicinity of your beloved Nokia 6.1 or Nokia 5.1 Plus, do check them and tell us if you updated it.
