Nokia 3 will get the Android 7.1.1 update by the end of August

Great news for all the owners and wannabe owners of the Nokia 3 come from HMD’s CPO Juho Sarvikas. Nokia 3 will receive Android 7.1.1 update by the end of August. Update will be released OTA when all the market specific approvals are in place.

The whole problem started with MediaTek, a Taiwanese company that usually doesn’t work on future software updates for the devices where its processors are used. This proves that even MediaTek processors can be upgraded if the brand is right and takes care of its users, which is great since Nokia 3 is really a beautiful phone.
