Video²: First impressions of Nokia 9 Pureview, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 210

We had a chance to do short hands-on videos of the latest Nokia devices that HMD Global announced at the #GetSmart event held at Barcelona just before the MWC19. HMD unveiled one feature phone Nokia 210, and four smartphones: Nokia 1 Plus, quite similarly looking Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2, and finally the Nokia 9 Pureview that we been hearing about for over 6 months.

After the event finished, all of the media folks hurdled in the demo area where the time available to spend with a device was quite short. Anyway, I took some shots of the devices and did a short hands-on so you can also get the first impression of the devices.

I started with a Nokia 210 which is quite a nice feature phone that is running the s30+ software. The 2.4 QWGA display is encased with a nice candy-bar body that resembles Nokia 3210 a lot.
Here are some shots and a hands-on video below.

Nokia 1 Plus is the larger sister of a Nokia 1 that now got a larger 5.45-inch screen, MediaTek 6739 processor. I like the shape of the device which cherishes Nokia’s heritage Fabula design and has a nice to touch finish. Here are some shots I did of the device and a short video.

Nokia 3.2 is the new addition to the 3 line-up that comes with a dedicated Google assistant button, power button with a notification light and 4000 mAh battery. Also, the screen increased significantly and got the teardrop-shaped notch.
Here are some shots and a hands-on video.

Like Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2 also came with the Google Assistant dedicated button and a power button that will also be serving as a LED notification light. Also, Nokia 4.2 is using the Snapdragon processor (439) like Nokia 3.2 (429). It has a dual camera set-up with 13 MP main camera sensor and 2 MP depth camera and has a nicely shaped body with glass back. This one is going to be a fingerprint magnet, but it looks good. Do check out the photos below and short hands-on video.

Nokia 9 Pureview is the device that we waited so long and finally got a chance to see it live. The device has a classically designed body which is just 8 mm thick and protected by Gorilla glass 5 at both of its sides. The most important part of this device is its 5 cameras for sure, with 12 MP sensors per each that will at the end create one perfect 12 MP photo around 3 to 5 MB large. The arrangement of cameras is quite interesting but hear Sammi what he has to say about it (thanks Sammi for the video and beer recommendation).

This device will come with a pOLED screen, 20 MP front-facing camera with fixed focus (like Huawei Mate 20 Pro) and wireless charging that makes it the second HMD Nokia device that supports QI wireless charging. Nokia DT-10W will be the official charging pad for Nokia 9 Pureview.

Here are some photos and a short hands-on video of the device.

There was a little time to shoot everything, but we’ll be spending more time at MWC with Nokia devices so expect more from us. Also, if you are interested in some features, please tell us in the comment section below.
