Rumour: New tip suggests Nokia D1C is 4.8 inch Android phone?!
|The story around Nokia D1C, alleged 13.8-inch Android tablet continues with a new tip to Nokiapoweruser which says it is actually a 4.8-inch android phone.Let’s just elaborate briefly what we already know and what this new info suggests. Information that suggests Nokia D1C is a quite large Android tablet was delivered by GFXBenchmark result where screen size was first mentioned. This data could have been easily placed there, but the results seemed bulletproof. Nokia, or better say HMD will both present a new smartphone and tablet so it’s right to suspect we’ll see the Nokia logo on various form factor devices.
A source that tipped NPU, which by the way wanted to preserve its anonymity, probably to keep his/her job, said that GFXBench results showed the screen size inaccurately because of the inappropriate scaling factor used. Also, said that the real screen size is 4.8 inches, which is quite a jump and kind of hard to believe when only the iPhone is still using that form factor now (4.7 inch to be exact). But, if we remember the specs of the device, it belongs to the lower middle class so it could turn out that this tip is true. Also, this form factor resembles to that “dummy” phone seen in Nokia commercial photo tease.
