Official: Whatsapp to come preinstalled on KaiOS devices going forward

Facebook, the owner of Whatsapp and KaiOS Technologies officially announced via press release the general availability of the Whatsapp app on the KaiOS app store. Whatsapp is already available for KaiOS devices in India, Africa, Europe and APAC, while from Q3 2019 most KaiOS devices will come with Whatsapp preinstalled.

The only Nokia device using KaiOS is the Nokia 8110 4G. In our review, we described the Nokia 8110 as a solid feature phone, but not nearly as smart or usable as the similarly priced Nokia 1. In the use case scenario where users want to detoxicate, but still stay in contact with others, Nokia 8110 4G with Whatsapp looks like a good phone to buy.
