Nokia 8 Sirocco TA-1005, and 2 unknown Nokia devices certified in Russia (TA-1043 & TA-1046)

From Russia with love, again comes some interesting info related to Nokia devices. Last week, the source of Russian Nokia community Nokia Anew shared information regarding Nokia 4 and details about the Nokia 7 Plus. Of course, these are all just rumors and we cannot be sure in the info until HMD officially announces the device.

Russia’s certification agency Rostest certified two new, unknown Nokia devices under the model numbers TA-1043 and TA-1046. Not much info was given about the phones, in fact, nothing but the model number and date of submission. If I had to guess, Nokia 6 (2018) and 7 Plus seem to be the most obvious answers.

Also, two known devices made a visit at Rostest. The rumored Nokia 8 Sirocco, previously known as Nokia 9, under the model number TA-1005 was certified, which suggest that HMD made some changes on the device from the last time the device visited Rostest. The mysterious device under model number TA-1047, that could be a QWERTY feature phone, also was certified in Russia.

HMD is slowly building a huge pile of these model numbers, which reminds me of old RM-XXX days. 🙂 All of the above mentioned devices (and more) we are expected to see in less than 3 weeks at MWC2018 in Barcelona.

Thanks Amal for the tip. 🙂
