*Update* #Geekbench results revealed two new #Nokia #Android smartphones?!
|Update – We got a heads up on this info, and we “for sure” know that these two phones that appeared on Geekbench test results are old prototypes that Nokia used to test Android before the Microsoft deal.
Year 2016 is slowly coming to its end but that is a great news for Nokia fans since they know at least two new Nokia smartphones are coming. During the year we saw some information about new phones, even photos but none of those were bullet proof. Now there is some new information from Geekbench site where two new Nokia phone models have appeared. Data are a bit strange since benchmark results mention old Nokia naming, which is a bit strange, and somewhat unusual processors.
Figure 1. Nokia RM-1490
First phone (Fig1.) is marked under Nokia RM-1490, which is familiar naming of upcoming Nokia phones. It runs pretty old version of Android (4.2.2.) what suggests it could be an early prototype, but unusual thing here is to see AMD processor inside. It’s not bad one since it’s AMD A8-5545M clocked at 500MHz, but it is more suitable for PC than for smartphone. Phone will have at least 2 GB of RAM, which is not bat for some entry Nokia model, which could achieve good sales results.
Figure 2. Nokia 5320
Second phone (Fig2.) is marked as Nokia 5320 ant it runs Android 4.4.4 what also suggests it is an early prototype device. Inside it has quad core Qualcomm processor clocked at 2.27 GHz which is followed with 2 GB of RAM (actually 1855 MB). This processor could be Snapdragon 821 since it achieved relatively high clock rate.
At the end I really don’t know what to say. These could be false reading or someone’s nice joke, or we are seeing results of an early mid-priced Nokia phone that will target larger groups of people.
