Nokia 1 receiving Google security update for April

Owners of Nokia 1 started reporting that the Google Security Patch for April is now available for their devices. The update is 68.8 MB large and just brings the security patch, nothing else.

While newer Nokia phones are receiving regular security patches, there seems to be some kind of delay for the first Nokia devices that HMD released back in 2017. My Nokia 6 and 3 are still on February security patch, and some owners got the reply from Nokia Care that 2017 devices won’t be getting security updates in the third year since they are not a part of Android One. We still didn’t get the official confirmation about this from HMD, so until then I’ll just keep on pressing Check for update :).
