Video: Official Nokia 9 Pureview promo video leaked
|After Evleaks leaked the official render that revealed some new tidbits about Nokia 9 Pureview, Mysmartprice portal leaked official promo video that showed new interesting things about the latest Nokia cameraphone. The video is in a 16:9 format, probably meant for some web shops, but it clearly shows how good this phone might turn out to be.
Nokia 9 Pureview could really be a modern successor of Nokia 808 Pureview or Lumia 1020 because it seems that its 5 cameras will be working simultaneously to create a sharp image, with incredible texture and detail. This is something like computational photography that light.com has been using for his light16 camera. By combining 5 images, Nokia 9’s camera will be able to capture 10 times more light. Also, it will be possible to change a lot of things after the photos have been taken, like reframing or fully control the depth and change focus.
The front of the device will have bezels on top and bottom, but the screen will stretch almost to the ends of the device. Also, by touching it, you’ll be able to unlock the device. The devices body could be made of steel since it supports wireless charging, which is something that was first seen on Nokia 8 Sirocco.
Nokia 9 Pureview will be coming with last years Snapdragon 845 which is a pretty capable processor, but we still need to wait till the official announcement to see how will camera and post-processing of the images be controlled. I expect to see some dedicated processor like in Nokia 808 Pureview.
Additionally, it seems that the phone was meant to be released at the beginning of October, but recent leaks and rumors suggest that we’ll see it in January 2019.
Here are the basic specs of Nokia 9 Pureview:
- Display: 5.99 inch, HDR10, PureDisplay, Underscreen unloch
- Processor: Snapdragon 845
- Memory: 6GB RAM / 128 GB Internal
- Camera: Main – 5 cameras with ZEISS lenses
- Battery: Wireless charging
- OS: Android 9 Pie
Check out the video.
I must say I like what I’m seeing here. The design is classic and there are some hardware features that will differentiate the device from others. Camera does stand out there, and hopefully the investment into the Camera R&D will pay off.
Thanks Eero for the screenshots!
