Nokia 5.4 receiving Android 12 update

Update. Users are now reporting that Android 12 update is now available for 5.4.

Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 5.4 are the final members of the old guard Nokia phones that are still waiting for the Android 12 update. Both devices have been spotted on Geekbench being tested running their last major OS update but the update still hasn’t been rolled out and the final date is not verified even by Nokia Mobile.

However, users started asking the Nokia Support service over the My Phone app regarding the update rollout and they got a very good answer, at least for the Nokia 5.4 users. According to them, the Android 12 update is rolled out gradually over the world. But do remember that service agents might be wrong since not all the info is shared with them.

The first markets to get the update are (or should be) Austra, Belgium, Croatia (Vip, Tele2 network which is now Telemach), Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary Iceland, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Latvia and probably a few other markets where Nokia 5.4 has been sold. However, the update might be rolled out but some additional market approvals are needed and that is why we are not seeing it.

We have sent an email to Nokia Mobile and asked them to verify this but still haven’t got the answer (it will be included here when we get it).
