Nokia G50 (TA-1390) with 4850 mAh battery gets certified in the US
|Despite being tight-lipped for most of the time, HMD Global, in 2021, involved itself in unveiling the looks of some of its phones much before the supposed announcement, be it the Nokia XR20, Nokia C30, or the upcoming Nokia G50.
Details about Nokia Mobile’s Punisher (G50) have been spreading pretty quickly compared to the other unreleased phones. The smartphone, with the model number TA-1390, has now picked a certification in the US. As per, the Nokia G50 fits in a 4.85 Ah, or 4850 mAh battery.
The model number of the battery is P660, which first appeared alongside Nokia C30’s battery in a certification back in April. Unlike the X series phones, the Nokia G50 seems to be coming with a 5 V, 2 A-rated 10 W charger, which has been the case so far with the G series phones.
With that, the gathered information about the phone from various sites is as follows:
- Model Numbers: TA-1358, TA-1361 (Dual SIM), TA-1367, TA-1370, TA-1390
- Colours: Forest Black, Midnight Sun, Blue
- Rear Camera: 48 MP (and two more cameras)
- RAM: 4 GB
- Internal Memory: 64 GB, 128 GB
- OS: Android 11
- CPU: Snapdragon 5G platform (possibly 480 5G)
- Battery: 4850 mAh
- Charging: 5 V, 2 A (10 W)
- Others: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1
- Price: 4/64 GB – £207 (€239, ₹21220, US$283), 4/128 GB – AU$477 (€299, ₹26110, US$351)
The Nokia G50 is possibly the successor to the Nokia 5.4 and will help reduce the price separation between the Nokia X10 and Nokia G20 or Nokia 5.4.
The device seems to be inheriting some features from the X-series phones, like the processor and support for 5 GHz Wi-Fi, while it also packs a bigger battery like the other G series phones. Nokia Mobile might also be able to claim a better battery life on the Nokia G50 than the X-series devices.
On a side note, this certification also confirms that the TA-1374 or N1374DL smartphone with a 4370 mAh battery, which received FCC certification the other day, is some other device.
