Nokia G50 leaks in a video posted by Nokia Mobile before the launch
|Well, it is Sunday, and you hardly expect any official information coming from the hands of Nokia Mobile on Sundays. Nevertheless, the company’s social media/PR team in France made a surprising (and probably an accidental) post on Instagram.
It is a video that showcases the unreleased Nokia G50 in the Blue and Midnight Sun colours. Surprisingly, the post is still live. The post is not live anymore.
At first, you might notice that it looks very similar to the Nokia G10, especially because of the triple camera setup at the back. However, the caption reads: “As durable as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the G50 phone offers incredible battery life, 5G speed, and a 48 Megapixel camera!” (Translated).
Check the video below:
Nokia Mobile decided to carry the legacy of the previous G series phones as the Nokia G50 also features a waterdrop (or a V) notch. The Nokia logo makes an appearance at the front as well. Unlike the Nokia G20, which has four cameras, the Nokia G50 has three cameras at the back, while the resolution of the primary camera remains the same, i.e., 48 MP.
Hopefully, the third camera will have a resolution of more than 2 MP.
Previously, the retailers and certifications sites have also revealed some other details about the phone. The Nokia G50 will soon become the most affordable 5G Nokia smartphone. It is powered by Android 11 and a 5G Snapdragon processor, most possibly the 480 5G platform. Other than that, the phone will also come in Forest Black colour, which remains behind the curtain for now.
The 4/64 GB variant will cost around £207 (€239, ₹21220, US$283) in the UK, while the 4/128 GB variant will cost AU$ 477 (€299, ₹26110, US$351) in Australia.
Although this leak is a bit premature, the launch event is not very far away. It should take place in less than a month from now as the upcoming James Bond movie, “No Time To Die,” which Nokia Mobile is an official partner of, will premiere on September 28 and subsequently hit the theatres on September 30 in the UK.
What do you think of the Nokia G50?
