New Nokia phone design patent added to EUIPO
|One of the indication that a new Nokia Mobile phone is coming, is the appearance of new design patents submitted by HMD Global to the European Union Intellectual Property Office, or shorter EUIPO.
The recently submitted design patents, representing the same design/device, come under design numbers 005628708-0001 and 005628708-0002, and were filed on 4th September this year. That’s all relevant EUIPO shows at this stage. Last month HMD also added a design patent, and as far as rumors go, we are expecting to soon see at least two new Nokia devices – one powered by Snapdragon 710 with the codename “Phoenix” and other featuring a penta-lens camera setup with flagship internals.
Few weeks ago EUIPO also revealed that HMD acquired the PureView trademark, famous from the iconic Nokia camera phones like the 808 PureView, Lumia 920, 925, 1020 and others. Apart from PureView, HMD also applied for “PureDisplay” trademark as well as “Face Unlock” trademark.
At the moment, HMD has 5 trademarks and 497 design patents displayed on their EUIPO page that you can check out here.
