First Nokia QLED Smart TV and Satellite Receiver 7000 by StreamView coming soon
|In 2021, StreamView has already launched the Nokia Terrestrial Receiver 6000 and three new Nokia Smart Android TVs, but looks like the company will announce two more products in the coming weeks. One of the products seems to be the Nokia 65-inch QLED Smart TV (6500D).
The details of the first-ever Nokia branded QLED TV has emerged in Italy, where it has received the green signal from the certification body. The certificate listing confirms that the TV will support terrestrial, satellite, and cable-based connections, which all the Nokia Smart TVs by StreamView achieve using the built-in triple tuner.
SVS, the authorized distributor of StreamView’s Nokia products in Germany, has already included the new TV in its catalog and confirms that it will run on Android TV.
Nokia Satellite Receiver 7000
The other product is the Nokia Satellite Receiver 7000, which has also been listed by SVS. The listing has a picture of the device and mentions all the specifications. Based on the picture, the free-to-air satellite receiver looks the same as the Nokia Terrestrial Receiver 6000.
The Nokia Terrestrial Receiver 6000 is possibly meant to receive the signals through the land-based TV towers, while the Satellite Receiver 7000 will receive signal through the satellites. The Nokia Satellite Receiver 7000 will support a video resolution of up to HD (1080i, 720p, 576i). Backed by Dolby Audio, the device supports H.264 and HEVC H.265 8-bit audio decoding.
Its dimensions are 112 x 112 x 24 mm, and it weighs 229 g. The port selection includes HDMI, USB 2.0, digital audio (coaxial) port, and Audio/Video IN (3.5 mm) port. The power supply is through a 5 V, 500 mA rated adapter, and the maximum power consumption stands at 18 W.
Turns out that the Nokia Satellite Receiver 7000 is already available even before an official announcement. A webshop called Euronics is selling it in Germany for almost the same price as the Nokia Terrestrial Receiver 6000, i.e., €50.9 (₹4410, US$60).
It’s raining launches in Nokia world. Yesterday, Flipkart announced two Nokia wireless earphones in India. StreamView also launched a few products and will announce two more devices soon. On April 8, HMD Global – the home of Nokia phones, will hold its first major launch event of 2021. And then, Flipkart is expected to announce a lot of Nokia PureBook laptops.
Exciting times ahead for all the Nokia brand licensees. How about you? Do you like the recent bunch of Nokia devices? Feel free to share your views in the comments section below.
