Over the last few years, Nokia Mobile’s priority markets have changed. It does not consider India as that important of a market anymore when it comes to launching its high-end or even higher mid-range devices. The only exception was the last year’s Nokia XR20. Even in the feature phones segment, the company has never stepped past the ₹6000 range as it likes to skip the 4G Originals phones (Nokia 8110 4G being an exception was launched for ₹5999), which usually fall in the category of premium feature phones.

However, Nokia Mobile does see some value in bringing all of its latest additions to its Originals series in India. The devices were green-lighted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on July 1 for the regional launch.

The Nokia 5710 XpressAudio (TA-1482) and the Nokia 8210 4G (TA-1492) are being made by Nokia Mobile’s longstanding feature phone manufacturing partner, i.e., Bharat FIH, in its Kanchipuram facility in the state of Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, MCM Telecom, which has previously produced the Nokia 2.3 and Nokia 2.4 in the country, is assembling the Nokia 2660 Flip (TA-1480) in its Noida facility located in Uttar Pradesh.

Amongst the three, the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio (XA) stands out because of the built-in wireless earphones present at the back, which are covered using a slider. Though the devices differ from each other due to their different form factors, there are quite a few commonalities, which you can check here alongside the other specifications.

Also, all the devices operate on the S30+ platform, which is possibly because the KaiOS 3 platform is yet to go global and is only available for select devices, like the Nokia 2760 Flip and a few others, in North America as of now. As for the pricing, the Nokia 5710 XA costs £74.99 (₹7185) in the UK, while the Nokia 8210 4G and Nokia 2660 Flip are priced at £64.99 (₹6225).

The company has not revealed the release date for these devices in India yet, but the Nokia C21 Plus was made available (July 12) in the country in about a month from the date (June 14) it was registered on BIS. If Nokia Mobile is preparing at the same pace this time as well, then it should not be taking that long for the launch to happen.
