August security patch rolling out to Nokia 2 on Android 8.1 Oreo
Nokia Mobile released a new update for the first generation Nokia 2 smartphone, that is running on Android 8.1 Oreo. Nokia 2 had some troubles with updates, with Nokia Mobile giving users the choice to stay on Android Nougat or upgrade to Oreo, because of the low end hardware of the device.

The devices running Oreo started receiving the August 2019 security patch from Google. The monthly update is around 63MB in size and comes just with the security patch.
At the moment, Android 8.1 Oreo upgrade isn’t available for Nokia 2 users, but it will be enabled shortly after Nokia Mobile fixes an issue with the build introduced with the July patch.
