Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 receive January 2020 security update

Almost three years ago, the Nokia brand re-entered the global smartphone market during MWC2017 announcing the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, alongside two other devices, Nokia 3 and 3310 (2017). Today, the two mentioned devices, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, received a new security update.

The Nokia 3, 5, 6 and 8 are on a quarterly update schedule till late 2020. That means that these devices will receive a security update every quarter that will contain all previous patches as well. Update for Nokia 5 is 394MB in size, while the update for Nokia 6 is around 307MB in size. Both updates should contain the January patch and the patches for the three previous months.
