Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 receiving September security patch

 

Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 started receiving Google’s security patch update for September. The update for Nokia 5 showed up in Hungary, and it’s quite large. Those 317.5 MB are just bringing the security patch, nothing more according to the update description.

Italian portal Nokioteca reported that the updates are available also for Nokia 6 (2017) and Nokia 8. I’ll update the post with the details about the update if it pops up on our trusty Nokia 6. The size should be around 150 MB. The update for Nokia 8 is also available, and the size is close to 90 MB.

 So, the security update hunting season in opened for the owners of Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8. I hope that the owners of Nokia 3 will be updating its phone soon.
