Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 4.2 receiving the August security update

Users of Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 4.2 just started reporting that the August security patch is available for their devices.

Nokia 5 (2017)

The update for Nokia 5 showed up in India, but there is a chance for its wider release. The update is strangely 314.6 MB large but just brings the software patch.

 

Nokia 6 (2017)

The update for Nokia 6 is 112.9 MB large and also brings the security patch, nothing else. Like for Nokia 5, the update also showed up on devices in India, but be cool and check if it is available elsewhere around the globe.

 

Nokia 4.2

Nokia 4.2 also received the security patch for August. The update is 58.6 MB large and seems to be available in Europe. Do check if it is available and report back so others can start downloading the security patch from Google.
