Nokia Mobile donating 50 smartphones to at risk community members in Australia to stay in touch during lockdown

Nokia Mobile did a nice gesture in Australia partnering with CCNB, a not-for-profit community-based ogranization that provides guidance and help for elderly and people with health problems, who are the most vulnerable part of any community and should be protected, especially in the current pandemic when many were cut off from their income, access to essential services and their loved ones.

HMD Global, an independent Finnish company that has the license for the Nokia brand on smartphones, donated 50 Nokia 5.1 Plus units to CCNB for those that need to stay in contact during the times of physical isolation, and for a lot of people that don’t have internet social isolation as well. AusDroid.net mentions Susan as one of the CCNB members that received the new Nokia 5.1 Plus. Susan never had a smartphone so she doesn’t really know how to use it, but she is happy because she will be able to contact her younger brother more. Hopefully some younger community CCNB members can help Susan set her phone up (HMD is also offering assistance), and here at NokiaMob, the comment section with our great readers is always ready to assist. 🙂

Thanks SirFaceFone for the tip. 🙂
