Nokia 8 and Nokia 8.1 receive new Android Pie build and July 2019 security update

The 2017 flagship device, the Nokia 8, and its successor by name, the Nokia 8.1, today started receiving a new Android Pie build, together with the latest security patch from Google for July 2019.

The update for Nokia 8 is 131MB in size and comes with the Android V5.15D build. The changelog mentions the usual stability and UI improvements, coupled with the July 2019 security patch. The Nokia 8.1 also started receiving a new Pie build, version V2.59J, also smallish in size – 117.5MB. The update comes with the same changelog as Nokia 8’s, also including the July security patch.
