Internal beta of Android 10 for Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco leaks online
|Despite not wanting, Nokia Mobile faced delays in its Android 10 roll-out schedule but the updates are still coming, and the users are very eager to try their hands on when their devices get the update. Well, the encouraging news here is that the Android 10 internal beta builds for Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco have leaked on XDA-developers by their senior member and a headliner in the Nokia community, hikari_calyx.
The build for the Nokia 8 Sirocco dates to January 2020. While the build for Nokia 5.1 Plus is quite new, and it can also be installed on an Android One firmware flashed Nokia X5 unit. Nokia 8 Sirocco users can sideload the build using the stock recovery image. But as hikari_calyx says, for Nokia 5.1 Plus users, he has made the procedure a bit complicated to prevent noobs (like me!) from flashing it. Nokia 5.1 Plus users need to quest for the root privileges.
Thanks to a member in my group for testing Android 10 for PDA!
We’re sorting known issues before posting. This time we will change a different flashing method, to prevent noobs from flashing it casually.

You can have a brief look at how the Nokia X5 on the Android 10 beta build performs in this video. Anyway, as per the latest roadmap, Nokia 8 Sirocco should receive the official Android 10 update in the coming weeks, while the Nokia 5.1 Plus should get it by the end of the first half of the year.
Also, at no cost, do we promote any of the users to try these builds as they may affect the warranty status of the device and since these builds are in beta stage, the device will be prone to some bugs.
