Original Nokia 3310 announced 20 years ago today

Not a lot of gadgets get remembered 20 years after they announcement and the original Nokia 3310 is a really iconic device in the mobile space. Announced on 1st September 2020, Nokia 3310 came on the market bringing enhanced chat, colourful shells and indestructible body.

The durability of Nokia 3310 has been told across many memes and in 2017, the maker of new Nokia phones HMD Global brought the Nokia 3310 back to life with a new Nokia 3310 (2017). We also saw a 3G version and a 4G version of the new Nokia 3310, but limited to the Chinese market. Nokia Mobile is still active selling the new 3310 in many markets and it is a nice-looking feature phone that handles well the basic operations of calling and sending SMS.

20 years ago Nokia was slowly becoming the dominating force in the mobile market and the company is still alive today delivering innovation in 5G networks and also making sure Nokia phones are still alive and available for customers. Anyways, Nokia 3310 will be remembered for at least another year. 🙂
