New Nokia E3100 Plus buds announced by RichGo

Back in 2020, RichGo announced light and affordable Nokia E3100 earbuds that were offering 2.5 h of playtime in just 4 grams per earbud. The best thing about these buds, besides the size of a bud and charging case, was the colour options you could get them in. That made them look fun and targeted the younger population.

Now, RichGo made a plus model of E3100 which is coming in just three colours now (Samsung-like lavender, black and white). The hardware specs are much improved, as is expected from a Plus version of a model. So, Nokia E3100 Plus is coming with a smaller 35 mAh battery that will deliver 5 hours of playtime on a single charge with additional 24 hours thanks to the charging case battery thanks to the use of a better BT chip that is capable of a BT5.2 connection.

The design is more or less the same. The buds are now coming with a better IP44 waterproof rating for all-weather protection. There is Voice wake-up Siri or Google Assistant included. With just 3.6 grams per ear, the new E3100 Plus are super light and most likely comfortable to wear.

Here are the specs of the Nokia E3100 Plus:

  • Bluetooth version: 5.2
  • Bluetooth protocols: HFP, HSP, A2DP, AVRCP
  • Audio decoding: SBC
  • Speaker unit: 6mm dynamic coil
  • Battery capacity: headset 35mAh x2, charging box 300mAh
  • Battery life: 5h (headphones), 24h (headphones + charging case)
  • Frequency response range: 20Hz-20KHz
  • NominalImpedance: 16 Ohm
  • Charging interface: Type-C

The buds are already listed on the Nokia page dedicated to audio accessories and should be coming to China soon. The price is yet unknown, but I don’t expect them to cost more than E3100 or 299 Chinese yuan. The Plus model does look nice, although I’d like to see them available in more colour options, and maybe outside China too.
