Nokia joining European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge, and Cloud
|In digital warfare between the USA and China, the weakest organization turned out to be Europe. The old continent is abundant with history, culture, scientific achievement, and finally peace, but they outsourced almost all of the products, which leave it vulnerable and dependent on rising powers.
Europe might be slow, but is slowly trying to engage the local powerful companies that are still important and can be brains of the world, or at least help transform Europe, especially in data, edge, and cloud.
Europe has a proud history of communications tech leadership. I want that to continue, so @Nokia has joined 26 other companies in sharing a roadmap for #Cloud and #Edge solutions. This #EUCloudAlliance is big news for a truly #DigitalEU. https://t.co/XnH9ai0ZTp

Europe has a proud history of communications tech leading companies, and 27 of them joined in the European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge, and Cloud to strengthen European leadership in the data economy. Nokia is one of the companies that are ready to create a truly digital EU.
Europe will be focusing on climate-neutrality, cybersecurity, trustworthy data exchange, and interoperability. The plan is also to renew and expand the infrastructure, including an increased density of edge and cloud facilities across the continent, backed by network and interconnectivity services that will enable innovative use cases at scale. Also, the European supply of low carbon and trustworthy edge and cloud infrastructures and services will be stimulated to address the specific needs of industries in the EU and public sector.
Today CEOs of 27 companies shared their industrial technology roadmap for next generation #Cloud and #Edge offerings.

The targeted plan is to deploy around 10,000 climate-neutral highly secure edge nodes and to reach an adoption rate of 75% of advanced cloud services for European businesses.
Here is the list of companies, including Nokia, that joined the newly announced European Alliance:
3DS Outscale, Airbus, Amadeus, Aruba, Atos, Capgemini, CloudFerro, DE-CIX, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, German Edge Cloud, GIGAS, Indra, IONOS, IRIDEOS, Leaseweb Global, Magic Cloud, Nabiax, Nokia, Orange, OVHcloud, Retelit, SAP, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Telefonica, Telecom Italia.
The names seen here are all important and are showing the might of the European companies that are slowly losing their power from the giants across the continent and Atlantic ocean.
