Nokia C02 is new super affordable entry device
|Not too long ago, Nokia Mobile launched the Nokia C12, an affordable smartphone for €80. The C series is usually reserved for the most affordable devices. The C12 sounds affordable, but there is another device that is more than just affordable.
Nokia Mobile has quietly announced a new affordable device Nokia C02. Judging by the specs and design, this should cover the entry-level smartphone world. The Nokia C02 hides behind the model numbers TA -1460, TA -1501 and TA -1522 and a code name Cypher. It brings IP52 waterproofing and a tough chassis for the budget.
The relatively large 3000 mAh battery should be enough to power the C02 for a full day. The hardware is not that power-hungry, as there is a 5.45-inch display with FWVGA+ resolution and a combination of a 5 MP main and 2 MP selfie camera.
A quad-core 1.4 GHz processor paired with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage should be enough to run the GO version of Andro12 smoothly.
The most interesting thing about the C02 is its IP52 rating, although the back cover can be removed to install the battery and SIM cards. Nokia Mobile seems to be working more on making even the cheapest hardware better and more durable. This device is definitely the best solution for replacing the KaiOS running devices.
The pricing and availability of this device aren’t known but somehow I’m sure those details will be revealed soon.
