The Nokia community is pretty divided on Android one. On the one hand, some think its the right strategy moving forward, and on the other hand, you have strong opinions limiting Nokia Mobile’s options and putting their fate in Google’s hand. In this video, I wanted to discuss the pros and cons of using Android One exclusively on Nokia devices, and what I think should be done moving forward in order to succeed from a software point of view. You can check the video below:

As cheesy as it sounds, the Pure, Secure, and Up to date mantra that Nokia Mobile has been touting pretty much sums up nicely the advantages of using Android One. But on the other side of the table, using Android One is very lackluster on flagship devices, where people expect value for money and useful software additions that enhance the experience. By completely relying on Google for new features, this limits the scope of innovation and does not give enough differentiation factors for flagships to properly compete.

One of my suggestions is to rely on Android One in budget and mid-range devices while developing a unique skin exclusive for flagships.

Anyways, what do you guys think about Android One? Are you in full support of using it exclusively, or are you completely against it? Or maybe you have a different opinion altogether? Would love to read your thoughts in the comments!
