OffGlobal announces three new Nokia PureBook laptops

OffGlobal announced three new Nokia branded laptops today at the first day of IFA2022. Three new Nokia PureBook laptops are the 14-inch Nokia PureBook Fold and Nokia PureBook Lite, and a 15.6-inch Nokia PureBook Pro. Both fold and Lite are coming with Intel Pentium Silver N6000, a quad-core chipset meant for inexpensive entry laptops. On the other side, the 15.6-inch pro version is coming with the latest Intel Core i3 1220P which is the latest generation of the i3 series designed for thin and affordable laptops. This chipset is expected to outperform any Ryzen 5000 and perform close to the 10th generation i7 processor.

All of the announced laptops have FHD 1920×1080 IPS screens with a 60Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 250 nits, which is sufficient for indoor use. The PureBook Fold is the only one coming with a touch screen, although touch pads are pretty large on all the laptops. PureBooks also support BT5.0, WiFi 5, a fingerprint scanner and have MiscriSD slots to extend their memory. All three laptops also have 2 x USB-C 3.2, 1 x USB-A 3.2, and a headphone jack, and 8 GB of RAM which is nice. The larger 15.6-inch PureBook is coming with 512 SSD while the lite and foldable version have SSD with 128 GB.

The larger model is also coming with 2MP and aluminium top frame, while the 14-incher has a plastic body and 1 MP camera sensor. The keyboard of larger Pro models is back lit and has number pad while the 14 inch models don’t have that luxury. The difference between these two is also visible in the battery capacity with 15.6-inch version having a 57 Wh battery that will be charged over a 65W power adapter, while Lite and Fold are coming with a 38Wh battery capacity and a 44W power adapter. However, the smaller capacity of 14-inch models should be enough for 8 hours of work which is fine for the entry laptop.
